A man who was high on cocaine when he “lost the plot” and attacked two women including his then partner when she accused him of cheating on her has been jailed for 18 months.
One victim described Michael Joyce (23) as being “vicious and violent and grinding his teeth” during the attack.
Detective Garda Des Molloy told Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that on the night of May 24 last (2020) Joyce s then girlfriend Katelyn Stevenson became suspicious of him and began looking through his mobile phone to see if he was hiding something from her. ....

Jail for man who took part in Dublin shop raid that ended with fatal collision


A man who was on bail when he took part in a robbery that resulted in the death of a woman during the getaway has been jailed for four years and three months.
Jacqueline McGovern (54) was one of two women who were struck by a car occupied by three men fleeing from the robbery of a Centra shop on Barnhill rd., Dalkey on March 10 last year.
Ms McGovern died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. One of the men who had held up the shop, Dubliner Terry Meegan Jr (27), was on bail for attacking a man in his own apartment at the time of the robbery. ....

A man who was on bail when he took part in a robbery that resulted in the death of a woman during the getaway has been jailed for four years and three months.
Jacqueline McGovern, 54, was one of two women who were struck by a car occupied by three men fleeing from the robbery of a Centra shop on Barnhill Road, Dalkey on 10 March, 2020.
Ms McGovern died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision.
One of the men who had held up the shop, Dubliner Terry Meegan Jr, 27, was on bail for attacking a man in his own apartment at the time of the robbery. ....

A getaway driver who lost control of a defective car following a robbery and mounted a footpath killing one woman and seriously injuring another has been jailed for seven and a half years.
 
Darren Rowe (35) was tracked on CCTV after fleeing the scene without helping the women and was heard saying to his co-accused, “Eddie, what am I after doing”?
 
The men were later seen in a pub drinking a pint and sitting with their heads in their hands. ....
