A popular brand of ready-made salad kits is being recalled.  The United States Food and Drug Administration is reporting that Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is voluntarily recalling a limited number of cases of their Dole Sesame Asian Chopped Salad Kit. The concern is a possible undeclared allergen.
The potential undeclared allergen is egg.  Dole has reason to believe that the dressing and topping kit designed for a different product of theirs was unintentionally used during a portion of the production of the Sesame Asian Chopped Salad Kit.  Because the dressing and topping kit wasn t intended for this specific salad kit, the eggs aren t listed as ingredients and therefore the potential for allergen-concerns exists. ....
