65-year-old woman found dead in Tarrant apartment after fire call Updated Jan 15, 2021; A 65-year-old woman was found early Friday when firefighters were dispatched to her apartment. Firefighters responded at 12:55 a.m. to a report of smoke coming from an apartment unit in the 900 block of Overton Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, they found the woman unresponsive in her apartment. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Doris Duncan. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:16 a.m. Tarrant Fire Chief Jason Rickels there was no fire damage in the apartment. The smoke was coming from a pot that had been left on the stove. ....
