WASHINGTON - Kojo Nnamdi, a fixture on Washington s radio airwaves and an influential factor in the region s politics, will retire from his daily program on WAMU-FM, the public station announced Wednesday.
Nnamdi, 76, will continue to host his Friday program about local politics, The Politics Hour and irregular Kojo in the Community special live panel programs, but will step down from daily broadcasts in April. ....

A New Jersey agency has approved a 20-year tax break for a $100 million year-round indoor water park to be built next to the former Showboat casino in Atlantic City.
The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority approved designation of the project Tuesday as an entertainment retail district. That entitles it to an annual rebate of as much as $2.5 million in sales tax generated by it for 20 years.
“Atlantic City s best days are ahead of it,” developer Bart Blatstein said.
