Daily Post Nigeria Published Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has ordered security operatives to commence investigations and arrest those behind Saturday’s attack on Ajimaka village in Doma Local Government Area. The Governor gave the order in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ibrahim Addra, and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Monday, NAN reports. Sule condemned the brutal killings in strong terms, noting that the criminals would be apprehended and punished according to the laws of the land. According to the governor, the act perpetrated by unknown persons over the weekend in Doma Local Government Area of the state was reprehensible, callous and inexcusable. ....
Akabe alongside the embattled Council Chairman, Mr. Rabo Sani, had met with the workers to plead with them to remain calm. They told the workers that the state government is doing everything possible to address their predicament but the protesting workers reportedly ignored their plea as they barricaded the road. Our correspondent reports that, the blockage of the road began from Monday this week as they conducted “a special prayer” in the middle of the road. The Council Chairman blamed his predecessors for the inability of the council to pay the workers, saying illegal employment of civil servants worsened the situation. ....
