More injury heartbreak for luckless Bulldog after training mishap

Luckless Western Bulldogs midfielder Toby McLean has ruptured the ACL in his right knee in a training mishap on Saturday morning,
Scans confirmed the savage blow for the premiership Bulldog, who only returned from an ACL injury in the same knee in Round 14.
The Bulldogs said in a club statement: “The injury occurred during a training session at VU Whitten Oval on Saturday morning.
“McLean will undergo surgery later this week, before beginning his rehabilitation.”
McLean, 25, managed three senior appearances in 2021 before this latest injury setback.
He s contracted to the Bulldogs until the end of 2022.

Positive: Schoenberg shows up
There weren’t many Adelaide players who could hold their head high after the lacklustre 63-point loss to Essendon.
One Crow who did his bit was youngster Harry Schoenberg.
In just his 23rd game, the 20-year-old was one of only a few who led the way with 20 disposals and a team-high seven tackles, four clearances and one of his side’s two goals.
