On Wednesday, the state health department issued its own vaccine mandate. And all of it is forcing some tough conversation among healthcare workers including a Harnett County nurse who had COVID hit very close to home. There is a share of healthcare workers, including nurses, who feel it’s unfair to be forced to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Toni Hensley is not one of them. She is a nurse and also a wife. Her husband was the first confirmed case of COVID in Harnett County. In pandemic time, it seems like a lifetime ago. But it’s only been 16 months since Hensley’s husband, Jeff, tested positive and was soon hospitalized. ....
