DATTCO, which provides bus service to dozes of school districts across the state, has more than 100 open driver jobs, with school starting at the end of next month. There are similar staffing issues at other bus companies, and it s not just a Connecticut problem - it s happening across the country. DATTCO said it lost a couple hundred of its employees when schools shut down at the start of the pandemic, and it s not clear if they ll come back.
