Share Mayor, Council Members Sworn In To Begin New Terms Mayor Andy Smith and city council members were sworn in to begin new terms during the Tuesday, May 18, meeting of the Hillsboro City Council. Municipal Court Judge Nicole Crain administered the Oath of Office to the mayor and council members Eric Fleming (Place 1), Dana Robinson (Place 3) and Leann Richmond (Place 5). The returning office holders were unopposed in their bids for re-election this year. (KFVS) - Children and small businesses from Cape Girardeau are making an effort to collect canned goods for a local food pantry. It started with Cape Martial Arts where they wanted to challenge their students to go out and get canned goods and non-perishable items as part of National Canned Food Month in February.
