Former AMP and AXA Wealth Management executive, Steve Davison has been appointed as chief commercial officer at Midwinter Financial Services.
Midwinter’s parent company, Bravura Solutions Limited announced Davison’s appointment today noting that he was joining from Singapore-based Fintech, Better Trade Off, which has been developing digital financial planning services.
It said his previous experience included senior roles across AMP and AXA’s wealth management, transformation and advice divisions.
Commenting on the appointment, Bravura chief executive, Tony Klim, said: We are delighted to welcome Steve as the chief commercial officer for Midwinter .

The wealth management software group announced plunging profits for the first half of the 2021 year as it conceded the COVID crisis had disrupted its new business pipeline.

In a statement to the market on Thursday, Bravura reported a net profit after tax of $9 million for the six months to December 2020, down 54 per cent on the prior corresponding period.
The group said while its “sales pipeline in all key markets is strong”, market uncertainty as a result of the COVID crisis had led to “a lengthening of the sales cycle, as well as clients evaluating more of our products”. ....

Bravura reports H1 decline | Money Management

Wealth management software provider Bravura has seen a 54% decline in net profits after tax (NPAT) and 38% decline in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) in its H1 FY21 results. 
The firm maintained this was in-line with earnings guidance which had accounted the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. 
Revenue dropped 14% to $115.7 million from $125 million in 1H FY21, while NPAT dropped to $9 million (from $19.8 million), and EBITDA had dropped to $15.8 million (from $25.5 million). 
An unfranked interim dividend of 2.6 cents per share (cps) was declared, which brought the dividend payout ratio 70% of H1 FY21, while earnings per share was 3.7 cps.  ....
