•Lagos motor fair records low turnout
The Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu, has said Nigeria has infrastructure for locally assembled vehicles, but for lack of patronage.
Aliyu, at the opening of 15th Lagos Motor Fair in Lagos, said assembling vehicles locally, especially in Lagos, means a lot for the Nigerian market with regards to value addition. ....

A TOTAL of 750 children participated in the just-concluded 14th Edition of Toyota Dream Car Art Contest which held in Abuja, Port Harcourt and Lagos, from February 5 to 12, 2021.
The contest produced nine winners, one from Port Harcourt, two from Abuja and six from Lagos, with the children challenging Toyota to produce their dream car in the future.
Toyota Nigeria Limited rewarded the winners with brand new laptops each. Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is an annual CSR initiative of Toyota Motor Corporation Japan to develop the innate artistic talent in children and to cultivate an enduring relationship with them and by extension, their parents. ....

Winners emerge in Toyota car contest

Nine winners have emerged for the 2020 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest which is a corporate social responsibility initiative of Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan.
The contest is for three age categories comprising 7 years and under; 8-11 years and 12-15 years.
During the 14th Dream Car Art Contest in Abuja, 220 children participated; there were 222 participants in Port-Harcourt and 308 in Lagos.
Three winners emerged from each category in Port-Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos centers respectively, making a total of 27 winners from the three zones. Three finalists from each age category then emerged as national winners.
One of the winners emerged from Port-Harcourt, two from Abuja, and six from Lagos. At the presentation of prizes to winners held at the Toyota Headquarters in Lagos, the Managing Director, Mr Kunle Ade-Ojo charged the winners to continue to showcase their God-given talent and excel at what they do. A winner in the age 12-15 category ....
