Joshua Ryan Bingham, 27, from Basin Pocket, faces charges of committing robbery with violence at Moorooka on December 1, 2020; and arson of a Toyota Echo sedan in Parkinson on December 2, 2020. Prosecutor Senior Constable Bridie O Shea said police opposed bail due to the serious nature of the offences. Magistrate David Shepherd read the written outline of the alleged offences, saying the car owner had been waiting to pick up his daughter when a man is alleged to have approached him, saying he was going to take his car. ....
December 21, 2020 DANVILLE, Va. – A Danville man died Monday afternoon after crashing his car on the South Boston Road. Danville Police believe 63-year-old Michael Simmons may have suffered some type of medical emergency just before the accident. The crash happened about 12:35 p.m. on Route 58 near the intersection of Gough St. Simmons was traveling westbound in a 2001 silver Toyota Echo when witnesses saw his car begin to swerve before it left the roadway and hit a metal pole.
