Donald Schaefer, at 73, was honored by the American Red Cross for his 200th blood donation. Donald has been giving blood since he served in the US Army, then throughout his career as a teacher and as assistant director of placement of Eastern Illinois University s education department, from which he retired some 10 years ago.
A proud father of five children and grandfather to 15, Donald believes that donating blood is a prime way to serve others, and is something almost everyone can do. His family concurs.

Employers in Illinois provide prescription drug coverage for nearly 6.7 million Illinoisans. In order to help keep care more affordable, employers work with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), who deploy a variety of tools to reduce prescription drug costs and help improve health outcomes.
