Taipei, March 10 (CNA) An alliance of eight major offshore wind farm companies was established in Taiwan on Wednesday to help develop the industry, as the country advances its plans to increase offshore wind power.
One of the main aims of the Taiwan Offshore Wind Industry Association (TOWIA) is to facilitate green energy discussions among government officials, private companies and the public, said Marina Hsu (許乃文), chairwoman of the new association.
In the long term, TOWIA said, it hopes to help build sustainable wind power supply chains in Taiwan by forging deeper cooperation between industry and academia. ....
