P-J file photo BROCTON Former village mayor and emergency medical technician responder David Hazelton brought a relatively pressing problem to the board’s attention: The current ages and contributions of the members of the Brocton Fire Department. Hazelton became curious as to the number of firefighters currently listed on the staff for the Brocton Fire Department, and decided to do some research into it. Hazelton found that there were 33 firefighters on the list, but the actual number that respond to calls is actually only 24. Of those 24 people, four more only responded to less than 10 calls over the last 15 months, dropping the real number of active members to 20. On top of the fire department not having a lot of manpower, the ages of the people that do respond are more troubling. ....

Hospitalized: April 12, 1989 Died: April 15, 1989 Case status: Unsolved homicideAuthorities said Angel Hazelton had seizures April 12, 1989, prompting her mother, Angela Lane and Angela s boyfriend, Wayne Kimball, to call an ambulance.Hazelton was rushed to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.She was later transferred to Boston Children s Hospital where she died three days later on April 15, 1989, authorities said.An autopsy showed Hazelton died because of blunt force trauma to the head. It also indicated the trauma was up to one week old, officials said.Officials said Hazelton was living with her mother and Kimball on Stagecoach Road in Meredith. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 - 7:13 am OGDENSBURG City police said they charged several motorists with driving infractions on Tuesday. Those charged included: • David Hazelton, 45, Ogdensburg, was cited for uninspected motor vehicle on New York Avenue at 1:29 p.m. • Harley N. Rubin, 23, Ogdensburg, was cited for uninspected motor vehicle on Proctor Avenue at 3:38 p.m. following investigation of a motor vehicle accident. • Alice D. Barrett, 24, Ogdensburg, and Jamie L.
