After more than 12 months of research into three decades of international history, statistics and all-time lists on the Australia Jillaroos can finally be revealed. The Jillaroos have had 159 players represent Australia since 1995 but statistical data on personal accolades has been scarce, particularly for the first two decades. However, through the work of stats guru David Middleton, each player has now been given figures on the number of games they ve played, how many tries and points scored, and their debut match, if they weren t aware already. It was a really challenging but rewarding experience at the same time to search for information on the Jillaroos history, Middleton told NRL.com. ....

Drug dealer David Middleton starting 40-month prison sentence A MAN found in possession of drugs, many for supply to others, in a police raid at his home, was caught red-handed dealing in the street outside just weeks later. Durham Crown Court heard that officers visited the premises in South Moor, Stanley, on March 29, 2019, and found drugs in various locations round the house. The stash included 22 ecstasy tablets, worth between £110 and £220, five packages containing amphetamines, worth about £200, and smaller amounts of cannabis. Ian West, prosecuting, said police also found a note book containing drug sale details, £100 in cash, bags and scales. ....
October October 1: Veteran coach Wayne Bennett accepts an offer from the Queensland Rugby League to step into the breach as Maroons coach for the 2020 State of Origin series following Kevin Walters’ appointment as Broncos coach. Bennett last coached the Maroons in 2003. The NRL confirms it has opened an investigation into the 2003 Dally M Medal that was not awarded due to industrial action by the game’s players’ association. The Daily Telegraph had led calls for Penrith’s Craig Gower to be awarded the medal after revealing he would have almost certainly won the count. The Sydney Roosters lose star recruit Sonny Bill Williams for their qualifying final against Penrith with a neck complaint. ....
August August 2: Management at Sunshine Coast Stadium are questioned over the venue’s safe-distancing practices after photographs show a packed hill for the clash between Melbourne and Newcastle. Under Queensland COVID restrictions, the venue was allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity and the attendance of 5437 was inside the limit. Five Queensland Health authorities were reportedly on site for the match and no concerns were raised on the day. The NRL announces (August 3) that it will reduce the capacity for future matches as a precautionary measure . The English Super League competition resumes after a five-month hiatus as St Helens overpower Catalans 34-6. James Graham makes his return to Saints after an absence of nine years. ....
