Boys and Girls Club of Dane County exceeds $300,000 fundraising goal during virtual gala February 20, 2021 9:36 PM Adam Duxter Updated: MADISON, Wis. – While COVID-19 precautions forced the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County’s annual ‘Helping Hearts’ gala online, the non-profit exceeded its original fundraising goal, raising $377,456. The money, which will go towards funding the organization’s programs throughout the year, was raised in just an hour and a half’s time. “There’s been a lot of work that has gone into this,” said Faith Michon Ross, a Resource Development Manager with the organization. “Our whole development team has come together and stepped up.” ....

Hearts for Helping: Live from Dane County has a goal to raise $350,000 for the Clubs. It will include a youth talent show, celebrity appearances and a community hero awards. The winner oof the talent show receives a $5,000 grand prize. The event starts live 7 p.m. from The Sylvee and can be watched on Channel 3000’s Facebook page and Channel 3000+ streaming platforms. Local businesses and community leaders will also be recognized for their work over the past year during the coronavirus pandemic. ....
