OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE CBS Paramount+ today revealed a teaser trailer for season four of its hit original series STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. The teaser trailer was introduced by series star Sonequa Martin-Green following the Women In Motion panel during today s virtual global First Contact Day celebration, which also revealed that season four will premiere in 2021. The free First Contact Day virtual panels will be available to view on-demand on Paramount+ s YouTube Channel and on Paramount+ in the U.S., following their initial airing on StarTrek.com/FirstContact today from 12:00-2:45 PM, PT/3:00-5:45 PM, ET. Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Trailer Faces an Unknown Threat Paramount+ has released the first trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery, which is set to premiere later this year. The video features Sonequa Martin-Green’s Captain Burnham as she leads the crew against an unknown threat that could possibly destroy all of them without any warning. This comes after the hit sci-fi series wrapped up its 13-episode third season earlier this year. Star Trek: Discovery trailer offers first look at season 4 The first look at Star Trek: Discovery season four promises the series’ most epic journey yet. Sonequa Martin-Green offered up a tease during First Contact Day 2021, a Paramount+ virtual event featuring panels and live streams for all things Star Trek. In the tease you can see below, the USS Discovery crew is facing off against a gravitational anomaly that’s five light years wide. We also see Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) taking the captain’s chair in a new red uniform. She warns the crew of the threat, though, giving a grim tease of the crew’s upcoming battle. “We are facing something we don’t understand, something that could tear us all apart,” says Burnham. ....
