Exclusive Better Together, the No campaign from the 2014 independence referendum, has had its official website taken over by Dale Harvey (bottom right) after it let the domain expire THE website previously used by the Better Together campaign has been hijacked by a Yesser - and turned into a pro-independence page. The National first noticed the change when looking through old Better Together tweets from their campaign’s official account for an unrelated story. When we clicked on a link shared by that Twitter account in the summer of 2014, we were taken to a 404 “missing page” screen. Branded like Better Together, the page said: “Much like the case for Scotland in the UK, this page is missing.” ....
KXLY February 2, 2021 3:52 PM Erin Robinson SPOKANE, Wash. No charges will be filed against two Spokane Police officers who shot a robbery suspect in August. The County Prosecutor’s Office said Officers Dale Harvey and Christopher Johnson were justified in their use of force against Jonathan M. Buttrom. At the time, Buttrom was the suspect in a string of armed robberies at cell phone stores. He has since confessed to the crimes. Harvey and Johnson shot Buttrom during a traffic stop at the corner of North Crestline and East Courtland. Assistant Police Chief Justin Lundgren said Buttrom refused to cooperate with officers and showed a pistol when they tried to arrest him. The Prosecutor’s Office said the officers tried to de-escalate the situation, but Buttrom refused to put down his gun and made suicidal statements. ....
Losses continue to mount at Del Mar Fairgrounds, with a grim forecast for 2021 The Del Mar Fairgrounds, shown in May, is empty because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the last two weeks, fairgrounds officials canceled all entertainment contracts for 2021, including grandstand and midway shows for the annual San Diego County Fair, and all upcoming equestrian events at the 64-acre Del Mar Horsepark, two miles east of the fairgrounds. People who board their horses there have been told that they will have to find somewhere else to stable their animals after March 31. ....
