He told the Troubleshooters that the church roof was damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, and it took three years before the church got the insurance money to get a new one. So, in August 2020, they hired Brooks Steel Fabrication to put a new roof on the church building at a cost of $16,500.00, paperwork shows.
