After playing his final game last month the concluding match of Dundalk’s Europa League campaign against Arsenal he announced his retirement.
Only one player, Waterford and Limerick legend Al Finucane, made more appearances than Rogers in League of Ireland history.

After announcing the end of his eight-year spell at Dundalk FC last night, Dane Massey has today completed a shock move to Co. Louth rivals and newly-promoted Drogheda United.
Massey, who was released by The Lilywhites in mid-December, made just shy of 300 competitive appearances for the club he joined from Bray Wanderers at the start of 2013.
One of Stephen Kenny’s first signings as manager, the left-back was an ever-present in an era which yielded five League of Ireland titles, three FAI Cups and three EA Sports Cups. ....

THE OVERHAUL OF Dundalk’s squad continues apace with the club today confirming the signing of Latvian international defender Raivis Andris Jurkovskis. 
Jurkovskis is 24, and has made 13 senior international appearances. He is a full-back, and is added to the squad following the departures of long-serving duo Sean Gannon and Dane Massey. Gannon has joined Shamrock Rovers, while Massey announced his departure from the club yesterday. ....
