North Syracuse schools to switch to remote learning until January due to Covid Updated Dec 15, 2020; Facebook Share North Syracuse, NY - The North Syracuse Central School District plans to switch to remote learning for all its schools starting Thursday and continuing until after Christmas vacation, officials announced today. The district plans to resume its hybrid learning model on Jan. 4, Superintendent Daniel Bowles told families in a letter today. Onondaga County has been seeing a surge of Covid cases. Bowles said in the letter that the rise has led to a large number of students and staff being quarantined. “This has created challenges in staffing our schools and contact tracing,’ the superintendent said.
