A 50-year-old Holden has been sentenced to a decade in jail after he changed his plea in Carroll County Court.
Danny Joe Darnell was arrested following a call to the Carroll County Police Department, on August 31, which stated a truck had struck a fence and left the scene of the crash. A short time later, it was reported that the same truck had struck a Carrollton Fire Department vehicle that was parked on the sidewalk. The driver then struck a fire hyrdrant and nearly hit a patrol vehicle before leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit. Darnell was arrested after he pulled into a parking lot before an officer trapped his truck against a wall. ....
