July 9, 2021 James Kon & Rokiah Mahmud The Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) and the Community Development Department (JAPEM) yesterday received 15 units of computers each contributed by the Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC). Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin was present at the handover ceremony at the DBP Library in the capital. DBP Acting Director Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab and a representative of the Director of JAPEM received the computers from BMC Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Kaneshige Kubushiro. Suip expressed gratitude for the contribution, saying it would surely benefit the local community, particularly library users. ....

June 23, 2021 James Kon The informative community programme aims to raise knowledge and provides updated developments on the government’s efforts to increasing the standard of living of the citizens and residents in the country, said Information Department Acting Director Haji Shahrul Jeffri bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, who is the advisor to the informative community programme. He said the programme is also hoped to instill inspiration among members of the community by providing knowledge and information. He said this during the opening ceremony of the first informative community programme 2021 for mosque youth in Brunei-Muara District at the auditorium hall of the extension building, Information Department yesterday.
