Now Miami-Dade Animal Services personnel is looking for someone to adopt them. The fire left their family homeless, so they weren’t able to take care of them. Savannah Alcerro, the animal services’ kennel manager in Doral, said the dogs, named Petty and Shotta, were “clearly loved” pets. “They were super lucky to come out of that fire almost unscathed,” Alcerro said. “It’s really incredible: The emotional resilience they are showing despite the trauma they have been through. They’re still so incredibly loving and we’re so happy to have them here.” ....
