Barbados’ emergency personnel remain at the ready to continue lending assistance to St Vincent and the Grenadines following the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano last Friday.
La Soufriere spewed forth her wrath after remaining dormant for 42 years. Immediately, members of the Barbados Coast Guard from two offshore patrol vessels, the HMBS Leonard C. Banfield and the HMBS Rudyard Lewis, sprang into action as part of the Regional Security Systems Humanitarian Relief, and made a voyage that delivered seven tonnes of supplies to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The two awards during Hotels & Destinations Week went to Hilton Honors, winning the trophy for Best Hotel Loyalty Program and Best Hotel Cobranded Credit Card (for the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card). It may seem strange for a premium travel card with a hefty annual fee to take home an award during a year when many people aren’t traveling. However, with the automatic Diamond status, annual statement credits and the limited-time changes Amex made in light of COVID-19, readers clearly still saw immense value in the Aspire Card a sentiment echoed by TPG staffers.
The information for the Hilton Aspire Amex card has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

White s Pet Hospital in Santa Barbara and other veterinary clinics across the country have taken on a flood of new patients.
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Veterinary clinics are filling up with patients this year as a result of an increased demand for pet care.
Several clinics across the South Coast have had to stop taking new clients after reaching their limits.
“There are times where we have to turn away clients because our demand is so great,” said Devon Edwards-Cannon, Hospital Manager at White’s Pet Hospital in Santa Barbara, which is currently taking new clients but on a limited basis.
