New Delhi: A Delhi Police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself inside a PCR van near Zakhira Flyover in the national capital.
The deceased has been identified as ASI Tejpal. He was on duty when he allegedly shot himself dead inside the PCR van near Zakhira Flyover. The incident happened when other on-duty policemen were out of the vehicle. The police have initiated a probe to ascertain the reason that pushed him to take the extreme step.
The government hopes its decision will inspire other cities in the country and the world to tackle the issues of pollution and climate change with the urgency they deserve, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said.
