Scandal star Tony Goldwyn hosted a virtual Parade Across America, featuring a range of performances from around the country. Although as individual citizens we have our differences, more in some moments than others, one bond that unites us as Americans, especially today, is our belief in our enduring democracy, said the actor, director and producer, who played President Fitzgerald Grant for seven seasons on the ABC show. Goldwyn, speaking from an off-site studio space, proceeded to guide the audience through the presidential escort of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to the White House.

WASHINGTON (Tribune News Service) President-elect Joe Biden s inauguration will look like no other thanks to a once-in-a-century pandemic, security fears triggered by the worst raid on the U.S. Capitol since 1814 and a boycott by the sitting U.S. president. There won t be the usual 200,000 special guests watching on packed grandstands at the Capitol, with hundreds of thousands more flag-waving Americans filling the National Mall to bear witness.

NOTE: The 2021 inauguration will be mostly virtual due to fears of Covid-19. Luckily, President-elect Biden received his 2nd dose of the vaccine 10 days prior to the election and Kamala Harris, as well as many/most other attendees will have received the vaccine also.
