Welcome to Medicare seminars set Feb. 24
Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau and the Delaware Department of Insurance will host virtual Welcome to Medicare seminars at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24. The bureau provides free, unbiased information and counseling to people covered by Medicare. DMAB and the Department of Insurance host free Welcome to Medicare events throughout the state. Many people who join Medicare have questions and concerns about their new, different type of health insurance. Unitarian Universalists to meet Feb. 7
The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware will hold an online service at 10 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 7. This service will reflect on ways of nurturing a personal interior melodic harmony and its benefits to inner serenity and beloved community. Council meeting to include Hindu prayers Feb. 8
The Milford City Council, for the first time since its incorporation in 1807, will start its day Monday, Feb. 8, with Hindu prayers containing verses from the world’s oldest extant scriptures. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed will deliver the invocation from ancient Sanskrit scriptures remotely before the council meeting. He will then read the English interpretation of the prayers, saying, “Lead us from the unreal to the real; lead us from darkness to light, and lead us from death to immortality.” He will urge council memb
