In a bit of good news, the Sudbury area added 700 full-time jobs in February, Statistics Canada says.
However, a loss of 1,100 part-time positions led to a decrease of 400 total jobs in February as Sudbury’s unemployment rate jumped to 8.7 per cent in February, an 0.8 per cent increase compared to January.

StatsCan said full-time employment was still down 8,200 jobs from the peak in April 2019, but stood 2,000 jobs above the recent trough in June 2020.
