LEXINGTON, S.C. Lexington Police are still looking for a man who they believe is stealing flags.
But the good news is that four of the American flags were found, a neighbor who saw the flags on the ground, placed them in a tree so they would be off the ground. The yard flag was also discovered. The five flags were found in a wooded area near Ashford Way.
Legislators in the city of Flint and across the state are saying no more, proposing bills to penalize and reduce drive-by shootings.
Several drive-by shootings in mid-Michigan and across the state have claimed the lives of several young victims this year, and lawmakers are acting in the hope of preventing future violence.
The legislation was inspired in part by the tragic death of a three-year-old boy in Flint who died in October.
âWe have had so many drive by shootings and we have lost so many young victims,â Representative Cynthia Neeley said. âWe are working hard at the Michigan legislature to make sure Michigan families are safe.â
