Adrienne Lyle: the USA's top ranked dressage rider


Adrienne Lyle, 36, represented the USA at the London Olympics in 2012 and the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in 2014, both riding the Weltmeyer son Wizard. After a two year break from the top of the sport following Wizard’s retirement in 2015, she then went on to ride the 2018 WEG in Tryon and at the 2019 World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Salvino.
Her current top horse is the 14-year-old Sandro Hit stallion Salvino, with whom she finished seventh at the World Cup Final in 2019, having helped the USA win team silver at WEG the year before. Also competing at international grand prix level is the 13-year-old Rousseau gelding Harmony’s Duval, with whom she got 2021 off to a good start with wins in the grand prix and grand prix special at the opening CDI3 of the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington. ....

Olivia LaGoy-Weltz and Rassing's Lonoir Dominate Day 2 at 2021 Global Dressage Festival


Day two of the Lloyd Landkamer Memorial Week at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival concluded on Friday, January 15, after Olivia LaGoy-Weltz (USA) and Rassing’s Lonoir bested an impressive lineup of riders in the day’s FEI Grand Prix CDI-W, presented by Lövsta. The first week of AGDF continues through Sunday, January 17, and the circuit hosts 10 weeks of international and national dressage competition until April 4. In their first international competition since February 2020, LaGoy-Weltz and the 17-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding (by De Noir 3) owned by LaGoy-Weltz and Mary Anne McPhail came out on top, earning a score of 73.978%. Second place in the class went to Great Britain’s Susan Pape on Harmony s Don Noblesse, Harmony Sporthorses’ 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion by Dancier, who ended with a 73.022%.
