Francis Doyle of Margaree Valley claims the government redirected the brook s flow closer to his property during improvements to the Cabot Trail around the 1950s. The 57-year-old purchased the Egypt Road home in 2002 from his brother-in-law, but said the property has been in his family since he was born.
