Women's Regional Leagues Round-Up: Four trophies won


Eastleigh, Moneyfields, Ossett United and Royston Town all enjoyed Women’s Regional League trophy success.
EASTERN –  Royston win silverware after shoot-out
Challenge Cup: After a four-team finals day tournament of hour-long matches, Royston Town emerged as winners, with a 6-5 shoot-out success over Cambridge City, Tally Miles converting the decisive spot-kick.
Wymondham Town ran out 5-0 winners against Bedford in the third-place play-off, Laura Nicholls wit three of the goals.
EAST MIDLANDS – Cup and Plate finalists confirmed
League Cup S-Fs: Chesterfield edged Northampton Town 1-0 with a Bethany Smyth goal, the Cobblers losing Leah Cudone to a second yellow card. The Spireites now meet Lincoln United in the final at Arnold Town FC, ko 3pm on Sunday 30 May, after Mansfield Town were beaten 2-1. ....

Women's Regional League Round-Up: New Milton make semis on pens


Women’s Regional League results featured a quarter-final cup victory on penalties for New Milton Town.
EASTERN – Bedford win top of the table clash
Group A – Cambridge City made it three wins from three in the Challenge Cup with a 2-1 defeat of AFC Dunstable, meaning Wroxham finished second in the table on goal-difference.
Group B – Bedford beat Harlow Town 3-1 to replace them in pole position, the result was their third straight victory.
Group C – Leigh Ramblers are new leaders following a 5-2 success at Stevenage Development, which has them on maximum points with one game to go.
Group D – Colney Heath got off the mark by denying St Ives Town the leadership with a 2-0 reverse. Lily Hall and Nicola Puddick were the scorers for the hosts. ....

AS QPR FC Women’s booked their place in the semi-finals of the County Cup, courtesy of an emphatic 6-1 victory over local rivals Denham United, Rangers boss Steve Quashie was just delighted to see his side back on the pitch.
The R’s stormed into an early three goal lead, thanks to a double from Jenny Moore and a strike from Ellie Searle, before being pegged back on the stroke of half-time.
But a confident second half from Quashie’s side ensured that goals from Katie Akerman, Milly Cutler and Demi Edwards wrapped up the perfect afternoon on their return to action. ....

QPR FC Women’s booked their place in the semi-finals of the Capital Women’s County Cup, with an emphatic 6-1 victory over local rivals Denham United this weekend.
An early Jenny Moore double and then strikes from Ellie Searle, Katie Akerman, Milly Cutler and Demi Edwards respectively, ensured Rangers returned to action in style after almost four months away.
The R’s who haven’t played a competitive match since December, started brightly with Mollie Dench quickly threatening the Denham backline.
And with only six minutes on the clock, Steve Quashie’s side were ahead. ....
