Landmarks Across America to Light Up Blue and White for Israeli Independence Day

JNS.org – Buildings across America will light up in the blue and white colors of the Israeli national flag to honor Yom Ha’aztmaut, Israel’s 73rd Independence Day, which starts on Wednesday evening and lasts through Thursday.
The buildings will display the colors beginning n the night of April 14 and through April 18 as part of a “Celebrate Israel” festival organized by the Israeli-American Council (IAC).
Among the landmarks and buildings scheduled to be illuminated are Austin City Hall, Boston’s City Hall and Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, Cleveland’s Terminal Tower, Denver City Hall, Las Vegas City Hall and Los Angeles City Hall. Also participating will be several town halls in New Jersey areas that have a substantial Israeli-American population, including Closter, Demarest, Fairlawn and Tenafly. ....

Andrew Hudson is the founder of Andrew Hudson s Job List, a trusted jobs board in Colorado that he launched in 1998.
He spent more than two decades in a number of prestigious communications roles, including as the spokesperson for the Regional Transportation District and the head of marketing and advertising at Frontier Airlines.  
Hudson was also the press secretary for former Colorado U.S. Sen. Timothy Wirth and former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb.
He is also a professional bassist and performs at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the state.
Hudson is a third-generation Coloradan who lives in Englewood with his wife, Christine. They have three children. ....

More details and flashy renderings have been released for a project planned for a small triangular block just north of Denver City Hall.
Denver-based Urban Villages said that it plans to build a 13-story, 145,000-square-foot building dubbed “Populus” at 270 14th St., the triangular block formed by 14th Street, Court Place and Colfax Avenue. The site is across the street from Denver City Hall, at the edge of Civic Center Park.
Plans call for 250 smaller-than-typical hotel rooms, averaging 170 square feet, and 40 micro apartment units, averaging between 350 and 400 square feet, according to Urban Villages Chief Development Officer Jon Buerge. ....
