The dishes on Vietnamese people’s offering trays for Tet days made of clay have attracted buyers. Many original products have been created to celebrate the nation’s traditional Tet.
Dishes made of clay
To help young people better understand the significance of offering trays on Tet days, Nguyen Tan Dat, a craftsman in district 3, HCM City, decided to create unique shapes of dishes on Tet offering tray.
Dat makes the products from clay because the material is cheap and is easy to shape. In addition to clay, Dat uses sand, resin plastic, acrylic and rice flour to make the dishes look lively. ....

Vietnamese citizens in Myanmar warned to pay attention to safety
The Foreign Ministry has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar to keep a close watch on the situation in the host country, while keeping close contacts with local agencies, regularly updating on local information and staying ready to roll out measures to protect Vietnamese citizens if necessary.
The embassy has contacted the Vietnamese community in the country to update on their situation, and to remind them to maintain normal operations.
Vietnamese citizens in Myanmar are warned to avoid travelling far from the areas where they live as well as stay away from gatherings, and pay attention to protecting their own security and safety, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays. ....

Flowers and ornamental trees sourced from China are overwhelming Vietnamese flowers at traditional and online markets. Japanese orchids are selling like hotcakes despite high prices.

It is now the peak forest peach sale season as Tet will start in three weeks. However, sales have stalled because local authorities are requiring traceability of origin on products.
Nguyen Van Hieu in the suburban district of Ba Vi in Hanoi has been traveling for the last several days to ask for information about his lot of forest peach branches.
Hieu bought the peach branches from people in Ta Xua, Bac Yen of Son La province. The branches have been seized by appropriate agencies. Hieu has been told that agencies need more time to find out if the peach branches are really from planted forests, or are from the wild. ....
