I m meteorologist Ted Mack in any of the last day of 2020 and, uh, we have a patch of black ice this morning after a little bit of rain and snow across the area. But we ll get a little bit of sunshine today, but the big headline is the back to back storms coming our way starting Saturday and another one on Sunday. They re similar storms 24 hours apart. We ll get into that in a second, but a 12 hour forecast today on this New Year s Eve, we re looking at temperatures in the low to mid forties. Little breezy at times. Some clouds kind of build their way back in here, but it clears out in time for New Year s Eve should be about 29 degrees and clear skies. Dec 15, 2020 BARK RIVER Dennis James Urbanc Sr., of Bark River, Mich., passed December 11, 2020 unexpectedly due to medical complications while home with his wife by his side. Born in Bark River, Mich., on February 23, 1939 to Michael Vincent and Margaret Mary (Heim) Urbanc, he lived most of his life in the immediate area. He attended the local elementary schools and later enrolled at Holy Name Catholic High School in Escanaba, Mich., graduating with the Class of 1957. He was a powerful tackle on the Crusader team and was dubbed with his lasting nickname “Tiny”. As soon as he was able, Dennis joined the Michigan National Guard completing his basic training at Fort Leonard, MO. His early years found him working on his grandfather’s farm with many loving cousins, uncles and neighbors. This experience enhanced his natural talents for mechanics, electrical, and artistic abilities. He was a powerful man but a gentle humble spirit at heart. He worked at Ted Mack’s Box ....
