CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Two bald eagles found “acting strange” in southeast Missouri were tested for leading poisoning on Friday, March 12.
According to Watkins Wildlife Rehab, Dr. Sean Byrd and vet tech Kelly Manley from Skyview Animal Clinic tested the birds for lead poisoning. They said they expect results in about a week. ....

Michael Meisake leaned back in his bunk early Tuesday morning as he listened to reggae music through his phone speaker and dug into a plateful of scrambled eggs.
The 50-year-old guest of Brother Francis Shelter in Anchorage had just received his second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and he was feeling good.
“I’m not scared of needles,” he said. “A couple of my friends had sore arms, a little pain after the first shot, but not me.”

DEXTER, Mo. (KFVS) - Three Rivers College signed an agreement with the Dexter Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 9, to purchase the building that houses TRC-Dexter.
The four-year lease-to-own agreement will secure a permanent home for the College in Dexter and provide room for growth.
“The Dexter Chamber of Commerce is excited to see Three Rivers College accelerate their growth into our Dexter community. The pathway for Dexter and surrounding communities to further their higher education will remain constant,” said Alisha Trammell, Executive Director of the Dexter Chamber of Commerce. ....
