George Stanley Weik, 71, of San Saba


GEORGE STANLEY WEIK, known to us as Stan, was born October 10, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas. Stan left this world to go home to our Lord on May 14, 2021.  Throughout his years he lived in many areas of Texas, but he called San Saba home where he served as City Manager since December 2007.  Stan brought many God-given talents and years of experience to San Saba and felt privileged to have the opportunity to put these skills to use in this beautiful town.  Stan was an amazing, loving, kind and generous husband to Joanne.  They lived their 25 years of marriage as partners, best friends and soul mates doing everything together. He was so immensely proud of his children and grandchildren and cherished being a father and grandfather.  He loved watching his children blossom into adult hood and sharing in the lives of his grandchildren.  Stan was forever grateful for the love and acceptance given to him by the Wallace Family as their son and brother. Curative has announced that its mobile coronavirus testing sites in San Marcos, Wimberley, Buda, Dripping Springs and Kyle will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1 in observation of Christmas and New Years. Testing will resume Jan. 2.
The testing is provided at no cost to the individual and is available to anyone, whether or not they reside in Hays County. Curative is billing private insurance companies for test services, but there will be no out-of-pocket cost to the individual being tested. Those without insurance will not be turned away and will receive the test for free.
