Before Kenny Blakeney and Mike Brey became Division I basketball coaches, they graduated from the same high school, DeMatha Catholic in Maryland. Brey used to run the JV squad at this hoops powerhouse, and he also taught American history for six classes a day. When Blakeney got in touch last offseason to pitch an idea, he knew Brey would understand its purpose, potential, and merit beyond the court.
The idea was this: On Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Brey s Notre Dame Fighting Irish would visit Howard University in D.C. to squeeze a nationally televised, non-conference road game into the thick of their ACC schedule. Blakeney is Howard s head coach and a D.C. native. If pandemic protocols allowed, he envisioned his opponents touring the King memorial, the site of King s I Have a Dream speech, and the

In our Broncos Legends series, we re revisiting the careers of some of the best players in franchise history with video highlights and rarely seen photos and they ll join us to break down their favorite moments as a Bronco and more. Here s a refresher on Rich Jackson s time in Denver.
Career overview
The man who would be known as Tombstone arrived in Denver to little fanfare. On July 16, 1967, the Broncos dealt Lionel Taylor and Jerry Sturm to the Raiders in exchange for Jackson, Ray Schmautz and Richard Tyson. Aaron Donald was named Defensive Player of the Year this weekend, and T.J. Watt made it known he thought it was the wrong move. The Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro outside linebacker took to twitter to express his lack of jubilee for being snubbed. He obviously thought he should have been named Defensive Player of the Year.
Not to be outdone, J.J. Watt, T.J. s brother, jumped on twitter as well to add to his brother s case. J.J. Watt s twitter post read, Aaron Donald is an absolutely incredible player. I love watching him play & he s headed to the Hall of Fame without question, J.J. continued, This has nothing to do with AD personally. This is me saying what my brother won t. T.J. played 1 less game and STILL led the NFL in every major category.
