American Investment Council Adds Dillon Iwu As Director of Government Affairs Submitted by on 15 December 2020
The American Investment Council has added Dillon Iwu to its staff as the new Director of Government Affairs. Iwu will be based in Los Angeles and will specifically focus on the association’s state advocacy efforts, building stronger relationships with California state legislators, and federal advocacy.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dillon to our robust and growing AIC team,” said AIC President and CEO Drew Maloney. “Dillon joins an experienced government affairs department that is fully prepared to educate lawmakers on both sides of the aisle about private equity’s positive impact building better businesses, supporting jobs and strengthening pensions for American workers in all 50 states.”

Claude Chafin joined
Invariant s communications and public affairs team. Chafin previously was communications director for the House Armed Services Committee Republicans. Before that, he was communications director for then-Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.).
Invariant also hired
Maia Hunt Estes, former chief of staff to Rep. Anthony Brown (D-Md.). Estes previously was director of policy and legislative affairs for Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D).
The American Investment Council hired
Dillon Iwu as director of government affairs. Dillon previously was senior field representative for Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.).
Kimberly Ross will join the
American Council of Life Insurers as senior vice president of federal government relations, starting Dec. 21. Ross is chief of staff and chief counsel to Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio).
