The Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) is the successful result of years of hard work, Azerbaijani expert-economist Eldaniz Amirov told Trend .
According to Amirov, the 7-th meeting of the SGC Advisory Council, held on Feb. 12 through videoconference, was of great importance, as it was the first such meeting after the completion of this major project, when it was important to consider achievements and discuss prospects.
The active participation in these discussions of ministers and high-ranking representatives of 18 countries, heads of 5 leading financial institutions of the world and various companies testified to the relevance of the meeting. The first corridor contract was signed 9 years ago in mid-2012. The corridor, thousands of kilometers long, was built through systematic cooperation and close interaction between governments, international organizations, financial institutions, operators of production and transport systems and other ....

ANKARA (Turkey), January 14 (SeeNews) - Turkey received via the Trans Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) some 8.4 billion cu m of natural gas from the start of commercial operations of the pipeline in June, 2018 until the end of 2020, local media reported on Thursday.
The total amount of gas that reaches Turkey through the 1,850 km TANAP will increase to 12 billion cu m by the middle of 2021, Daily Sabah quoted TANAP s general manager Saltuk Duzyol as saying.
TANAP s annual gas transportation capacity is 16 billion cu m but this capacity can be boosted to 31 billion cu m with additional investments, Duzyol said. ....

First Azeri gas reaches Greece and Bulgaria via TAP

LONDON (ICIS) The 10 billion cubic metres
(bcm)/per year Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP)
has delivered first Azeri gas to Bulgaria and
Greece,
the pipeline operator announced on
Thursday.
The pipeline is expected to increase gas
imports for southeast Europe and diversify its
supply portfolio, acccording to market
participants.
The first gas has entered Greece via the Nea
Mesimvria, the new interconnection point where
TAP connects with the Greek national
transmission network. Bulgaria will initially
receive Azeri gas via the existing gas link
between Bulgaria and Greece ....
