Approximately 17,400 pills of Viagra and 43 boxes of miracle honey, or honey laced with sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, were found in a shipment labelled as herbal pasta.The shipment from Istanbul was headed for an individual in Florissant, Missouri, before it was discovered by Cincinnati CBP officials.CBP officials said if sold legally, the pills alone would have an estimated retail price of $1,234,400.Officials said the Food and Drug Administration regulates pharmaceuticals and products marketed as dietary supplements that contain an active pharmaceutical ingredient to protect consumer health. According to CBP, if genuine, the pills would have had an estimated manufacturer’s suggested retail price of approximately $238,050. The bottles had labels stating they were made in the USA, but CBP officials say those claims are suspect as the pills were being imported from the Middle East with potential ties to Hong Kong and China. ....
