Shawnee Mission Post Law enforcement agencies, now and before Johnson County s official mask mandate ended, say they have approached mask disputes with efforts to calm the situation and mediate between parties before making arrests. Even though Johnson County no longer requires masks to be worn in public, local police departments maintain that reaching a peaceful resolution is preferable to arrests and charges.
