Anime & Black History Month: A Look At Characters Hey folks. As many of you likely know, February is Black History Month. So I decided to create a column dedicated to anime characters in that vein. Some of them you will no doubt be familiar with. Others will be ones lost to anime fandom history or possibly not really known in the U.S. due to lack of any viable release or TV broadcast. As a black man who’s been collecting anime for a couple of decades, it’s been a lot of fun to see characters of color become more prominent, so it’ll be fun to talk about the ones who’ve made an impression so far.
