Dachser has appointed Kevin Chen as Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Greater China, taking effect on July 1, 2021. He reports to Edoardo Podestà, Chief Operating Officer Air & Sea Logistics of the company and the Managing Director of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics Asia Pacific Business Unit. With the new appointment, the logistics forwarder aims to further strengthen its expanding footprint in the most dynamic regions in Asia Pacific. The newly created Greater China Business Area allows the company to streamline operations within the whole of the China region, effectively consolidating business resources internally and externally.

UK – Gray & Adams has announced the death of its founder, Jim Gray Snr, who died peacefully in his sleep on February 10, aged 86. Jim Gray formed Gray’s Motor Body Works in 1957 after leaving national service, as a car and body repair facility in Fraserburgh, near Aberdeen. In 1960, Jim Gray was joined by Jim Adams and the company became Gray & Adams. Together they steadily grew the business turning it into the industry giant it is today.

Preeti Pande as its chief marketing officer.
The Latham, New York, company said in an announcement that Pande “will lead and facilitate growth and increased sales by developing a comprehensive marketing strategy that will promote brand recognition and transform the green energy market through Plug Power’s hydrogen solutions.”
Dachser reorganise regional management
Dachser Air & Sea Logistics (ASL) has reorganised management within its business units in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Americas regions.
The position of Managing Director, ASL EMEA has been assumed by Dr Tobias Burger, who is already responsible for the strategic development of the business field Air & Sea Logistics as Deputy Director ASL. Before moving to the air and sea freight business, the 43-year-old was head of Corporate Governance & CEO Office at Dachser. Dr Burger succeeds Thomas Krüger, who has led the air and sea freight business in the EMEA region since 2016.
