Georgia Tech, Louisville to play in 2023 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game Photo: Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Louisville Cardinals will play in the 2023 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl officially announced on Wednesday. The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023. The game will be televised by either ESPN or ABC. “Hosting teams from the ACC has been a long-standing tradition for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game,” said Bob Somers, Peach Bowl, Inc. chairman. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to host another ACC conference opener in our game in consecutive seasons.” ....

ATLANTA Georgia Tech football’s regular-season finale at Miami (Fla.), scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19, has been canceled, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Friday. “This afternoon, we informed Miami and the ACC that based on today’s medical report from chief medical officer Dr. Angelo Galante, it would not be in the best interests of our student-athletes for us to attempt to play a game next Saturday,” Georgia Tech director of athletics Todd Stansbury said. “As always, the health and safety of our student-athletes is our top priority,” Stansbury continued. “We felt that it was only right to let Miami and the ACC know as early as possible, and we appreciate their understanding.” ....
