KUALA LUMPUR, June 3  Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan Bhd (SJPP), wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Inc, is now accepting applications from participating credit companies under a special government guarantee scheme provided for bus and taxi operators.
This initiative, called the Bus and Taxi Hire Purchase Rehabilitation Scheme (BTHPRS), was announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin under the Pemerkasa Plus package on May 31.
“The BTHPRS is aimed to assist eligible bus and taxi operators by providing a loan servicing moratorium of up to 12 months and an extended repayment period to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and movement control order (MCO) 3.0 on their businesses. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 Bus operators are urging credit companies providing loans or hire purchase instalments to consider adopting a moratorium as announced by the government, or at least reduce the loan repayments.

Dr Wee: 134,000 people to benefit from one-off RM500 cash aid under Pemerkasa Plus


PETALING JAYA: The one-off RM500 cash aid for public transport players is set to benefit some 134,000 people, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The Transport Minister said that those who will receive the cash aid included drivers of taxis, e-hailing cars, hired cars, school and tour buses including tour guides.
“These are the people who are always on my mind especially when we are facing these challenging times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Through the Pemerkasa Plus aid programme, the government agreed to allocate RM68mil for the one-off RM500 cash aid as announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Monday night. ....
