LAFAYETTE, Ind. Tuesday might be the last day of employment for Wabash Township paid firefighters based on Trustee Jennifer Teising s decision.
But it is also might be the day Tippecanoe Circuit Judge Sean Persin will decide to intervene and preserve those jobs by granting a preliminary injunction.
My intent is to rule at the end of the day tomorrow, Persin said Monday at the conclusion of a hearing to consider the preliminary injunction.
If Persin approves the preliminary injunction, it would block Teising from terminating the firefighters until a jury trial in the next 60 to 90 days to settle a civil suit filed Friday. ....

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. The same day that the Wabash Township Board called for the Trustee Jennifer Teising s resignation because of lack of confidence in her, Teising fired Ed Ward, the township s fire chief.
