Illinois Leaks | DuPage Township failed to properly notice the Lottery for ballot position –

B.L.U.F. ( Bottom Line Up Front ): The township clerk did not properly notify the Democrat and Republican Parties of the upcoming Lottery to determine ballot position, as required under the Illinois Election Code. The lottery was held, and at the lottery, several people from the Republican Party were present to observe, and the Clerk drew an R ball from the bag and declared the Republican party would be first on the ballot for the upcoming April election. This was videotaped. There was no collusion, no participation in illegal activities by those there witnessing the lottery, no conspiring by any party, no co-conspirators, nothing other than the Clerk failed to properly notify the political parties.

Republican slate to appeal removal from Maine Township ballot

Republican slate to appeal removal from Maine Township ballot   Updated 1/22/2021 5:43 PM A Republican slate of candidates for seven of the eight elected positions of Maine Township s government intends to appeal to circuit court the township electoral board s 2-1 vote Thursday to remove it from the April 6 ballot over a candidacy objection. The objection alleged that the Republican challengers held their caucus for candidate selection outside the township.   Earl Wilson of Des Plaines, the Republican running for Maine Township supervisor, does not deny that the caucus was held in an empty parking lot outside the township, but disputes that that is a reason for removal.
